From the Provost

Writing a new chapter for UD. Read Now >Today, the challenges facing higher education—and the University of Delaware—are demanding and wide-ranging, such as improving college access and affordability, preparing an innovative competitive workforce, and applying our research and scholarship in ways that are profound and consequential in the course of human events and world affairs.

We recently launched our Strategic Planning Initiative, with the appointment of an Executive Committee and the formation of three working groups. I am grateful to those individuals who have agreed to take on this critical work.

For us to successfully plan for the next chapter of our distinguished history, we must engage the largest possible portion of our talented Delaware community. I hope that you will consider joining this important process and get involved in our town halls, teach-ins and other activities that will be highlighted in the coming weeks on this website.

With a Daring Spirit Bold, Delaware Will Shine!
